Yakuza 0 Review

Yakuza 0 Review

Spoilers

Have you ever just been walking down the street and felt like horribly beating the next person you make eye contact with. Well then you need this Yakuza 0 in your life. Because that's all this game is about.

From the start of the game, well after about 15 minutes of cut scenes, beating up everyone you come across is the focus of this game.

The thing I like about this game the most is the fact that, most beat-them up games don't try very hard to have a working story. But this one actually does, after being framed for the murder of a man you beat up you set off to prove you are actually innocent.
Being that this game is set in the 80s and the Japanese are known for there large since of honor and morals, Kazuma Kiryu (the main character) fights to free himself from the Yakuza (Japanese for gang). Once he is no longer associated with them he then sets out to show his former boss he is not the man who has dishonored the clan.

Honestly that's all the story you need right there. That's deep enough to make you feel respect for Kiryu, and simple enough to make the story work. But it doesn't end there, by playing the GE you unveil a great set of characters who almost all push the story in some way.
But i digress, back to beating the crud out of people. I personally didn't beat the game but I can tell you I do wish I did. I say this because as you play and explore the map you met different people and Kiryu has the ability to watch a person fight then learn there style. So after enough exploration you learn tons of new styles. All I would say are worth learning.
This review will be short because there isn't much to say about such a simple product and I mean that in the best of ways, I just want to beat the crap out of people plan and simple and this game does that all to well.
